CPR Performed by bystanders following serious assault in Newtown

About 11pm on Wednesday (22 January 2025), emergency services were called to Enmore Road, Newtown, following reports of an assault.

Officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command were told a 26-year-old man was assaulted by a group of people - believed to be more than two.

The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics with head injuries before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a critical condition.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the incident has commenced.
