Man trapped after head on crash in Rose Bay

A man has been rescued and a woman taken into custody following a head on crash on New South Head Rd, Rose Bay overnight.

At around 3.30am (26 July, 2025) emergency services responded to a two car crash with reports stating a driver was trapped.

The man was freed after 45 mins. His condition is understood to be stable with significant lower limb injuries.

The female driver of the other vehicle was taken into custody after it's understood she failed a roadside breath test.

The Police Crash Investigation Unit attended the scene.

Both cars were written off in the crash.
