Teenager rescued after falling from rocks in Coogee
A teenager has been rescued by the NSW Ambulance rescue helicopter after falling seven metres off a cliff ledge in Coogee this evening.
At around 4.45pm emergency services were called to Grant Reserve in Coogee.
Surf Life Saving NSW was tasked to assist police rescue, local police and paramedics.
Special operations paramedics trained in vertical rescue also responded to scale the cliff face. Police created an exclusion zone at the reserve to allow the helicopter to safely land.
Just after 5.40pm the young lady was winched by the helicopter and treated on scene prior to being transported to hospital with lower limb injuries.
It's understood she was with a friend when she lost her footing. Her friend was able to gain access to her and provide care until the arrival of police and medical crews.
