Two in hospital after multi-car crash in Bondi
Emergency services responded to a multi-vehicle crash at 10am today on Bondi Rd, with two people injured in the collision.
Police attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command located a grey Corvette, a red motorcycle, a blue Subaru station wagon, a grey Volkswagen hatchback and a silver Land Rover 4WD damaged as a result of the crash.
The rider of the red motorcycle – a 36-year-old man – was treated by NSW Ambulance before being taken to St Vincent's Hospital in a stable condition, with serious lower limb injuries.
The driver of the blue Subaru – a 60-year-old man – was treated by NSW Ambulance before being taken to Prince of Wales Hospital in a stable condition.
The driver of the sports car – a 36-year-old man was subject to a roadside breath test which returned a negative result. He was taken to Waverley Police Station where he is assisting police with their inquiries.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident has commenced.
Bondi Road is closed between Dudley Street and Glen Street whilst investigations take place.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area at this time.
