Man arrested in Bondi following dramatic police operation

Police officers swarmed Curlewis St in Bondi late this afternoon following a police operation to locate a wanted man.

Undercover and uniformed police were seen jumping fences and climbing a ladder to locate a wanted man.

POLICE MEDIA RELEASE:
About 3.45pm today (Wednesday 22 November 2023), officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command attempted to speak with a 48-year-old male at Roscoe Street, Bondi, over an alleged sexual offence that occurred on the states Central Coast earlier this month.

It will be alleged that the man ran from police. With the assistance of additional resources, the man was located at 4.45pm in Curlewis Street, Bondi.

He was arrested and taken to Waverley Police Station where he is currently assisting with inquiries.
