Baby knocked unconscious after accidental fall in Bondi Carpark

An 8 week old baby was knocked unconscious after accidently falling from a loved ones hands in Bondi Beach today.

The incident occurred at around 7.10pm this evening with Bondi Lifeguards and witnesses first to respond.

Multiple ambulances including intensive care and the rescue helicopter responded to the scene.

Police highway patrol shut down Campbell parade whilst the medical teams worked on the baby.

Initial reports stated that CPR had been performed. After around 25 mins emergency services breathed a sigh of relief when the baby started to cry.

The baby was transported to Sydney Children's hospital and is expected to undergo extensive neurological examination.
