Woman in serious condition following crash in Randwick
Police are investigating a serious crash in Randwick this morning after a car mounted the footpath on Avoca St.
At around 11.10am today emergency services responded to reports of a crash with a woman being thrown around 10 metres post impact.
A 31-year-old pedestrian sustained multiple serious lower limbs injuries as well as suspected pelvic injuries.
A male who is understood to be the driver of the car that crashed onto the footpath was also transported to hospital in a stable condition.
A third person was treated for shock.
Specialist crash investigation police have commenced investigations.
Avoca St is open in both directions but at reduced speeds as police investigate.

Following further inquiries, the 44-year-old man was taken to Kings Cross Police Station where he was charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm – drive manner dangerous, Negligent driving, and Driver motor vehicle during disqualification period. He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Saturday 10 February 2024).
