A man has been charged with drink-driving after a crash in Sydney’s east resulted in significant damage to three vehicles and a small grass fire.
Officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command were called to Cranbrook Lane, Bellevue Hill, shortly before 10.30pm on 25th December 2019, and found a Mercedes A250 hatchback had struck a brick fence, before hitting three parked cars and catching fire.
Man rescued by helicopter after falling off rocks in Bronte, NSW
A tourist from France has been winched to safety after being swept onto rocks at Bronte Beach earlier today.
Officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command were called to the southern end of Bronte Beach about 1.45am (Thursday 26 December 2019), after a woman reported hearing a man about 50m offshore calling for help.
The officers spotted a man on rocks below the cliff, and climbed down the cliff to him.
Residents evacuated after building fire in Waterloo, NSW
A number of residents were evacuated during the night as a fire broke out in a unit on George Street in Waterloo.
Emergency services were called to the unit complex on George Street, near Raglan Street, about 10.30pm (Wednesday 27 November 2019), following reports of a fire.

Three Maroubra locals are being hailed heroes after rescuing a woman who fell 25 meters off a cliff face in Marine parade, Maroubra this evening.
Khava Black, Dylan DeCosta and Toby Dunn were surfing at their local Maroubra spot at around 6.00pm, when two spear fishermen screamed out to them for help.
The three young men saw a body floating a short distance away in the water and immediately responded.
Man arrested for alleged arson & robbery attack in Bondi, NSW
A man will face court today after allegedly breaking into two homes and a pub in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs last week, and stealing cash, alcohol, and a car, which was later set alight.
About 10pm on Thursday (21 November 2019), police attempted to stop a Ford Falcon, which was driving the wrong direction on a one-way street in Double Bay.
The male driver – and sole occupant – stopped briefly before driving off at speed. A police pursuit was initiated but terminated a short time later due to safety concerns.

Fire crews battle factory blaze in Alexandria, NSW
Around one hundred fire-fighters battled a structure fire in Alexandria when a building caught alight in the early hours on the 29th of October 2019.
