One dead after suspected boating accident in Watsons Bay

Water police have recovered the body of a male following a suspected boating accident at 10.20am today (Thursday 20 July 2023).

NSW Ambulance, NSW Police and helicopters from police and ambulance responded to the cliff face off Watsons Bay and Vaucluse after receiving reports that a person was seen around 200 metres off the cliff line.

Lifeguards from Bondi Beach also responded to assist in the search and rescue.

Shortly after the arrival of the Police boat a body was recovered by police.

Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Marine Area Command on 9320 7499 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
