Man injured after forklift falls on worker in Bellevue Hill
A man has been seriously injured following a workplace accident in Bellevue Hill this afternoon.
Emergency services were contacted at around 2.30pm after a 24-year-old was struck in the head by an extended forklift.
Workmates assisted the man until the arrival of Paramedics. The man was treated on scene and placed on a spine board.
Police rescue attended to assist with a stokes litter and patient extraction.
The man suffered blunt force trauma and a 80mm laceration to the top of his head and 30mm laceration to his cheek. He also sustained an abrasion to his shoulder.
The man was treated with spinal precautions however is understood to have avoided spinal injuries.
Police have spoken with the building site supervisor and it's expected worksafe will attend to investigate the incident.
