Vehicle overturns after alleged drunken crash in Little Bay

A driver has been arrested after crashing his white VW Golf on Mirrabooka Cr in Little Bay last night.

At around 9.30pm it's understood the driver crashed into another parked car resulting in the vehicle overturning.

Police will allege the man attempted to leave the scene of the crash however he was stopped by witnesses. The man was arrested by NSW Police prior to being assessed by NSW Ambulance. The driver is understood to be in a stable condition and was transported to hospital for observation.

A witness at the scene stated he failed a road side breath test however police will need to wait for blood tests following mandatory testing.

Police investigations are continuing.
